Definitions Of Genre Types

A Fly On The Wall Documentary
is a style of documentary which allows representation in the program to be  truthful/more realistic, literally what a fly would see if it was on the wall.
An example of this on E4 would be 'Meet The Parents'  or 'Shipwrecked'.



Structured Reality Programming
 is when people are filmed talking naturally however they have been put in certain situations that have been  prearranged.
Examples of this from E4 are 'Made In Chelsea' and 'Desperate Scousewives'.





Fiction Productions
 is a broad term for fiction, which is anything that is not true to life or factual.
An example of fiction productions on E4 could be 'Misfits' or 'Deadset'
